A new iPhone App has just been submitted to the Apple iTunes App Store. LifeList-Birds is a data collection App for recording your lifelong bird sightings. Containing well over 900 birds, organized alphabetically according to common vernacular names, each entry can be edited for all of the who, where, when, what, and why data that make Life Lists such a rich experience. Invalid entries can also be deleted. Plus your entire LifeList database is automatically backed up on your computer during each iTunes device sync.
More LifeList database Apps are currently under development.
Looks like a possibly useful app. I entered a few birds, as a test. Everything seemed to be fine. Now the app will no longer open on my iPhone. I click, the icon disappears and just drops right through, back to my desktop. It won’t let me reinstall it says application already installed. Synching doesn’t help. It is only $1.99, but I was looking forward to using it.
I finally managed to get it “working” again. I had to delete it from my iPhone and then reinstall. I lost all my data, but the reinstall was free. Now, to see how long it keeps working.
Thank you for your comment, Marney.
I am very disappointed to here about your App crash. That is not acceptable and I can assure you that I will investigate this problem. When you get a chance, please let me know if you can recreate this failure.
FYI, I use this App regularly and I am working on a FREE upgrade which should be completed within the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned and thanks for trying my App.

While your loss of data is a very tough pill to swallow, I am tickled to learn that you are back up and running, Marney.
A little bit of confession here: even though I’m the developer of this App I always keep a paper backup copy of my Life List.

I only had about 10 birds in it when it crashed. No biggie. I have since input about 130. I do them 5 or 10 at a time. It seems to be working fine. I have no idea why it broke, but it is good now. Thanks for your concern.
