My Android Apps on Hold–Indefinitely

While the conversion of my two iPhone Apps, YO! and GetZoned, to Android is nearing completion, the publishing of these two Apps to the Android Market has been put on hold — indefinitely. Recent fluctuations in the Android hardware platform (e.g., G1, G I/O, DROID, Eris, Nexus One) have made it impossible for me to adequately and expertly test my Apps on “real” devices. Someday, hopefully soon, this self-imposed roadblock will be removed and YO! and GetZoned will see the light of pixels on Android devices.

Please make your bird list available for Android (G1)! I see you have postponed other apps for Android. What are your plans for the bird list?

Thank you for your interest in my App development, Dave.

I haven’t given up totally on Android, Dave, these Apps have just been moved carefully to my “back burner.”

Yes, I am working on a version update to the current LifeList-Birds App — featuring date/time stamp, GPS coords, and “add a bird” enhancements. Unfortunately, this version update will have to wait until after the LifeList-Sites App (a tourist-type checklist) is finished. There are also microscope and telescope Apps that must be completed.

Again, thanks for your interest, but please be patient. I, in fact, just renewed my Apple development/distribution certificate — so I’m good to go for at least another year. :)
